Money Counselor on TwitterI’m grateful for these compliments during the past week:

  • My article “Why Overpay for Everything,” about using a credit card for a purchase and then making the minimum payment, proved popular. Jake at iHeartBudgets cited it in his Good Reads. And John at the likable blog My Family Finances made the piece one of this Top Ten Family Finance Posts for the week. And, to top it off, the discriminating Carnival of Financial Discipline at 6400 Personal Finance featured the article. Thanks guys!
  • The Wealth Builder Carnival included my post “What’s Your Number?“. In this article, I argued that rules of thumb for how much each of us should save for retirement are useless.
  • Need Cash? Pawn Something” continues to draw interest. The Carnival of Money Pros, hosted at, included it this week.
  • My rant “10 Things I Don’t Get” is predictably drawing a lot of fire in the comments. Jake at iHeartBudgets liked it, and Len Penzo featured the article in his weekly Black Coffee post as one of the Blogs I’ve Been Following This Week.
  • Kathleen at the appealing blog Frugal Portland liked my post on the Founder Institute.

Thanks much!
