Wacky Video and Thanks, Week Ending 15 June 2013
All these different dogs appear to be riding in the same car. The car’s owner/video maker must run a dog taxi business for a living.
I think dogs love sticking their heads out the window because their keen snouts must be bombarded with all sorts of odors—a sense-ational treat for our canine friends.
Please send me your nominations for the week’s Wacky Video. I’ll give you credit if I include your pick here.
- The Wealth Builder Carnival #129 included my post on the May up-trend in mortgage rates, “Mortgage Rates Jumping“. If you aim to get into the mortgage market, the article includes an easy rule of thumb for tracking how much your monthly payment will change as mortgage rates change.
- In my post “The Vision Thing,” I reminisced about President George H.W. Bush, noting his mocking reference to “the vision thing” and his aversion to broccoli. My point was that envisioning yourself with less debt can be a key to achieving your debt payoff goals. Thanks to host Growing Money Smart for including the article in the esteemed Yakezie Carnival.
- The guys over at Control Your Cash aren’t nearly as clever as they think they are, but it’s still fun to participate in their Carnival of Wealth. The Megadata Edition included my first post in my ongoing Our 3 Best Money Choices mini-series. I’ve been included twice now in the Carnival of Wealth. The first edition featured a giant image of Ronald Reagan, and this edition leads with Richard Nixon’s hideous image. I hesitate to send in another Carnival submission and risk sharing a webpage with someone like Idi Amin or Dick Cheney.
- The second post in my popular “Our 3 Best Money Choices” series gave Greg at ThriftGenuity enough to think about that he wrote about my article at length in his Reflection Friday post of June 14. I especially appreciated this because one of my goals is to inspire thoughtful discussion. And John at Frugal Rules found the same post worthy of his weekly “Other Blog Posts That Ruled” list.
Thanks friends for spreading the Money Counselor word!
